The Tiny Pretty Things

The Tiny Pretty Things

When you think about it, life is all about the tiny things. The tiny pretty things.

Especially when there doesn’t seem to be much that’s positive going, say round about now.

It seems everyone has an opinion about how dire the situation is, yet no one’s willing to put forward any suggestions about how to make it better. Or at the very least slightly more bearable.

As if it’s better to be dead than to put up with the slightest inconvenience. (And whether it’s Covid or something else, we will all die).

I am the owner of the tiniest of tiny businesses, so I really do get that it’s hard to keep going when there’s no end in sight.

So here’s the tiniest of tiny suggestions on how to make the situation a tiny bit more bearable.

Try focusing on the tiny pretty things. Even if you have to cross your eyes and look at it a bit blurry.

  • The feel of sunshine on your face.
  • The sparkle of broken glass in the gutter.
  • A child laughing a few streets away.
  • The taste of your cafe latte as it coats your tongue.
  • The smell of Spring bulbs (or the roses).

Try not thinking much further than the next second.
