On My Way Back Home

On My Way Back Home

This picture was painted on the second of April. 1918. The view is a lot less pastoral now, but the hills are part of a National Park, so they look more or less the same.

Whenever I come back home, I see a version of this scene. At that point, I feel myself starting to relax. I even feel relaxed just looking at this image!

I’m so lucky to live near here.

Perhaps there’s something to the Feng Shui interpretation of hills as dragon humps. Always good to have a dragon at your back. Or maybe it’s because I grew up in a similar environment and it reminds me of my childhood.

Whatever the reason, there’s no place like home.

On my way back home I recalled that life and love are where your heart lives

This beautiful image comes via State Library Victoria.
