Ah, December 2021, when the year that was FINALLY ran out of steam and ground down to the end. I thought we’d never make it.
I got all the important stuff done by about the 15th, so for a couple of glorious weeks I had NO deadlines!!
I enjoy exercising my lean, healthy 59 kg body several times a week.
• Eat < 5g of salt and sugar per day.
• Walk 10,000 steps per day.
• Sleep 8 hours each night.
• Go vegetarian
|My weight seems to have reached a new stability in the 65.x kg range. I haven’t been there since May 2017, so I’m pretty happy!|
Thought about being elderly.
My garden is peaceful (lush and abundant, providing habitats, weather protection and a mystical threshold)
Q1&2: finish the plan and start landscaping/planting.
|🙂||😐||We had some hot dry days, which were a nice contrast to the cold wet ones. Consequently, the garden sprouted a new crop of weeds while we weren’t looking.|
If we go ahead with the extension, I’ll have an extra year or so to make some plans.
I live in a comfortable home that soothes my soul.
|🙂||🙂||The house guy has come up with some fantastic plans, so now it’s time to negotiate the nitty gritty.|
I tidied my desk, though there’s still more to do.
I love meeting new people, and as I am friendly and outgoing, I make friends easily.
• Make some local writer friends.
|🙂||😐||Just us over the festive season, though it’s not been too bad.|
My creatures are happy and healthy and find my garden a haven.
|🙁||🙂||Clever Girl’s denistry went well.|
I share my knowledge, time, and money with those who need it.
• Write and publish stories.
|🙂||🙁||Can’t say I did much of anyhing on this one. Aside from sharing a new short story, and a new collection Five Faces of Felicia Clarke out just before the end of the year.|
Read 104 books
|🙂||😐||Read nine books; came in at 63 for the year – a bit behind my target.|
• The Proof is in the Plants • The Dragon Republic • Winning Short Story Competitions • Starstruck in Seattle • The Hen Who Dreamed she Could Fly • From the Ground Up • The Scent of Salt & Sand • Zero Waste • The Scent of Almonds •
I learn and grow every day.
• Visit a historically or culturally significant venue or event each month.
|🙂||😐||Lots of venues still closed; managed one farmers market, and several visits to the cherry farm.|
Write 653,236 words to complete my first million fiction words.
|🙂||🙂||I had more time than I knew what to do with.|
Apparently I thought a lot over December 2021, particularly about goals and planning for 2022.
So that’s me for December 2021. How did you fare?
